Whisked Away to Nantucket
In the summer of 2004, I was recovering from the break-up of my life - the end of my marriage.
My cousin Kelley, whom I now call Saint Kelley (I'm only half joking), decided to whisk me away for a girls' weekend. First, Bermuda (I'll tell you more about that later). Later that summer, I met Kel in Boston and we drove up to the cape to catch the ferry to Nantucket.
We spent a whole weekend gazing at east coast boys in the Nantucket uniform: khaki pants, button-down shirts, and high-end flip-flops. The beach is gorgeous and the lobster is as plentiful as beef brisket in Texas. I had lobster seven different ways in one short weekend.
Great memories.
