Cubs Diaper Cake
The interest in this diaper cake on Pinterest has been tremendous, and I realized I've done you a disservice by posting it without any instructions or options!
Since I don't have a step-by-step photo tutorial available at this moment, I'm going to tell you as best I can how to make it. If you want to outsource to me, please contact me via kvanderhey [at] hotmail.com, via Twitter at @austinkvs, or via my Two Cannoli Facebook page. I don't do this as a business, but I'd be happy to work out a deal with you if you need help.
In this case, I started with a large pack of size 1 Huggies diapers, because they tend to use many more of these than the newborn size. You can use any disposable diaper, or possibly even a cloth diaper, if you fold them just right.
1) Unfold each diaper and roll tightly from the short end; secure each diaper with a knotted piece of ribbon (ideally, a neutral color so you can easily cover it with the wide ribbon around the whole layer)
2) Arrange the diapers in a large circle, packed tight for the bottom layer. Get someone to help hold the diapers, and wrap a large ribbon around the circumference. Wrap it tighter than you think you should; the diapers are a little slippery and can be difficult to corral.
3) Lay a large bib across the top, with the design showing through.
4) Tie another ribbon (or two or more) around the bib to secure.
5) Second layer: in this case, I rolled a pair of 12-month jeans and a t-shirt and circled it with more diapers. Secure with ribbons and knot.
6) Top with a plush toy (or baseball) and curling ribbon.
You can place the whole "cake" in a basket, or on a platter, decorated cardboard, or other sturdy surface, and wrap the whole thing with tulle. You can also tie baby items around the outside with ribbon. Here is another example below. Good luck!
